Full Moon in Libra

In each relationship we enter, we grow in understanding not only other people but also encountering the self because there is no us without me, and vice versa. The Aries-Libra axis represents the dynamic tension between the self and the relationship — me vs. us. What I want to do isn't always what we want to do. The Libra full moon invites us to bring grace and balance to the delicate dance of diplomacy and authenticity in partnerships:

What am I willing to compromise, collaborate and (challenge the libra moon to) confront?

If you have anything in the middle degree between 11 of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) you're going to feel the impact of this full moon; it's packed with potency.

The moon in Libra is ruled by Venus in Taurus — the planet of desires and pleasure. It's sextile Neptune, it's big love energy! And the Aries sun is sandwiched between Jupiter and Chiron. Jupiter brings higher vision, hope and optimism to this lunation, sounds great, right? Not yet. On the other side, we have the wounded healer, Chiron. In astrology, it represents things we feel vulnerable and hard to embody and acknowledge, like the back of our heads. But by honoring the energy of Chiron, we can come to our wholeness. Easy said, then done.

Because Jupiter has the power to magnify, so it depends on who you are, you might want not to engage, disassociate, or distract yourself from feeling. Plus, the Libra Moon prefers things to be neat and pleasant. And you know, our internal self is often a battleground, it is why we find many ways to distract ourselves from ourselves.

Without addressing your real needs in the deal just to keep peace at all cost may put yourself in a questionable position that may end up leading to serious conflict. Or the relationship will drain you of your energy because you have over-compromised too much, and it takes a toll on you.

IMO, the measure of your possible healing is the extend of our willingness and capacity to face such wounds, our unconscious patterns, and our deepest desires. So how you engage in your relationship matters. This full moon in libra helps you open up, lean into your messy feelings, share your vulnerability and desires in your partnerships. The goal here isn't to change your partner, but to allow them to see you as you are. Keep in mind that what you want is to consider diplomacy without compromising your values and honesty. At the time, enter negotiation with kindness, compassion, and care.

Meanwhile, Mercury, Venus, Uranus and the north node all in Taurus, the abundance of Taurus energy invite us to connect with our values and determination. Mercury separating square to Pluto and now with the north node sextile Mars and Saturn can help us have that authentic and difficult conversation to address, set the frame, and see what needs to change will bring us a greater capacity for love, pleasure, security, and stability.

Working with the full moon:

All of life is relational, and the covid pandemic highlighted we have an ongoing pandemic of loneliness. We desperately need meaningful relationships and communities. But it's hard to show up for our relationships authentically when we don't have a sense of self and identity.

Full moon is a time of culmination, gratitude, and release. There is so much potential to leave something behind on this Libra full moon. So check in with all your feelings, no matter how complex it might be; if it is too intimidating or you don't know how to begin, it doesn't have to be an all-day event; start with a minute. Ask yourself, "How do I feel?" and explore from there. Do some spring cleaning for your soul. Feel all your feelings: the good, the bad, the ugly, the shameful, and the embarrassing. By doing so, you're keeping yourself and your side of your partnership clean and clear. And that's a good starting place for partnership.

It's easy to fall back on our old relationship patterns because our personal history follows us everywhere we go, and entering the unknown can be scary. But it is Aries season, so we want to honor the energy of passion and enter a new frontier of boldness.
